Andrea Pierret grew up eating home-cooked dinners with her family every night. Pizza, fast food, and take-out were not really an option, and dinner was a time to enjoy the sustenance of not only good food, but also of good conversations and quality time spent with her family.

Andrea learned how to cook from her mother, whose mother taught her, and from years of self-study and practice. As her skill and passion for food developed, so did her reputation. Three years ago, she began to make ready-to-bake meals for family members and friends who loved her cooking and were too busy to make whole, homemade meals for themselves. What started out as a hobby soon grew into what is now The Gourmet Valet.

Make no mistake: this is no TV dinner. Andrea uses real ingredients with no added preservatives and makes each dish to order. She prepares every meal up to the point at which it needs to be baked, and then packages them to go right into your oven! It’s as healthy, delicious and homemade as you can get without having to do the dishes.

“I realize some people are not as lucky as I was growing up,” she said. “Busy schedules, lack of interest in cooking and an overwhelming number of fast food and frozen entrée options stop people from eating well-balanced, home-cooked meals. I saw a need for a convenient and affordable dinner solution that does not compromise taste and quality”.

The Gourmet Valet’s ready-to-bake entrees are available for pre-order by 3pm on the previous day and pickup at Uptown Kitchen. Their weekly menu—which offers a broad range of cuisines and accommodates for various dietary needs and preferences—is available at www.thegourmet-valet.com. Order by emailing orders@gourmet-valet.com or calling 616.884.0039.
