hey look! it’s our grand opening!
This is it, folks! The big day is on the horizon and we would LOVE it if you came to celebrate with us.
We’ve got two days of good fun and good food lined up for you: stop by for refreshments, interesting and entertaining cooking demos, samples of our clients’ delicious recipes, and a chance to walk through our space and meet the people who will be making things happen in it.
Here’s the deal:
Friday, March 30: 3:30 – 7:30pm: Ribbon Cutting (4pm) and Reception
Saturday, March 31: 10:00am – 4:00pm: Open House
A few of the events you won’t want to miss:
- Molly Clauhs and Chris McKellar, founders of the Grand Rapids Skillshare, kick off the Grand Rapids Cooking School at Uptown Kitchen. Try their food, pick up a class schedule, and talk to their friendly faces as they showcase this new incredible community endeavor. Food demonstrations by these guys will be at 6pm on Friday and 2:30pm on Saturday.
- Chef Tina Marie at Kissing Rock Kitchens will make your mouth water as she demonstrates how to make homemade pasta and a variety of sauces to go along with it. Kissing Rock will be on at 4:30pm on Friday and 12:30pm on Saturday.
- Private chef, slow foodist, culinary historian-sociologist, performer, singer, forager, sommelier, mixologist, and supper club host, Torrence O’Haire will entertain, inform, and feed us with an early-lunch food demonstration at 11am on Saturday.
