If you’ve taken a peek into our windows on your way to breakfast at Wolfgangs and thought, “wait, I thought this was an incubator kitchen… what’s with this room?”, you’re probably not alone.
Allow us introduce you to this other side of our business: the Dining Room at Uptown Kitchen, a great space for family get-togethers, networking events, work meetings, rehearsal dinners, showers, cooking classes, pop-up restaurants… any social occasion that involves food!
The Dining Room can be rented during any four-hour block and includes Wi-Fi, a flat screen monitor, and access to a kitchen with a hand sink, a vegetable prep sink, induction cook tops, a reach-in refrigerator, and a reach-in freezer. Our six 60” round tables and six 8-foot rectangular tables seat up to 49 people and our bar counter seats 10. Users are free to bring their own food or to choose their own chef or caterer, but we are also happy to recommend one of our favorites!
Perhaps most importantly, though, the Dining Room is a space in which the entrepreneurs who work in our kitchen can connect with one another and with the greater community. Our Grand Opening was the first opportunity we’ve had to make this happen. Our kitchen users got to know each other, to work together, and to show off all the stellar food that they make to a crowd of hungry visitors. And the public got to discover new businesses and experience their trade–try their food, watch their cooking demonstrations, and experience the spirit of creativity and entrepreneurship that takes place here.
We’ve been dreaming up future events like this (like it, but a little bit different). Keep an eye on our Facebook Page and sign up to receive our newsletter for updates. Such things as a Taste of Uptown Kitchen, a Pastry Market, and a pop-up restaurant are in order!
